I haven't watched Supernatural since season 6, but I got curious about Abaddon and decided to watch the first episode she appears in. A+ decision, let me tell you. Not so much for the boys, who I still love and are still neck deep in daddy issues, but mostly because a Lauren Bacall demon queen is just what I need in my media right now.

I've been thinking about reaction shots a lot lately, and how much they contribute to subtext. It was the most convincing part of the fanservice in Supernautural's 100th episode - not the thing being said as much as the reaction of the person hearing it. There was a fascinating reaction shot in a recent episode of House, too. ( spoilers for The Choice )
